Transmaxxing

Introduction

The term "transmaxxing" emerged in the 2020's as a term for men (usually young and no active sexual life) who transition and adopt a female identify primarily because of the perceived perks and benefits that this offers them, including exploiting the legal, financial and social advantages available to women. Inevitably this involves substantial body modifications from hormones and surgery, but they consider the trade-off to be worth it.   Transsmaxxing has become closely associated with "Incel", stands stands for 'involuntary celibate' and is a term used for men unable to form sexual relationships with women.

A 'Transmaxxing Manifesto' was written by the movement's anonymous Swedish leader Vintologi.  This outlines how one of the biggest advantages of becoming a woman is the 'superiority of female aesthetics' and how this can be used to 'extract resources from males'.  The document, which is readily available on-line, also highlights how the transition gives them 'access to female spaces' that are 'cleaner and generally more pleasant' - arguing that 'males are disgusting'.

In September 2023, Vintologi appeared on a podcast - where he revealed he wrote the Transmaxxing Manifesto. Vintologi, from southern Sweden, began working on the first Transmaxxing Manifesto in 2016. The then 28-year-old, who has never revealed his full name, said the purpose was to "reduce the surplus of males" who were growing increasingly angry over not being able to find a partner. He continued:  "Many incels think that if you transition, then you will also need to have bottom surgery and of course you don't need that, but it's a common thing I hear."  As such, transmaxxing largely only appeals to people who are already struggling with their gender identity.

Additionally, Vintologi argued that transmaxxing was a more 'realistic' path for some men - arguing that you 'can't change biology and how 'priority' is given to young women in society. In his manifesto, Vintologi writes: 'Since females have the upper hand on the dating market, transitioning from male to female will usually improve your options when it comes to getting sex.  "In addition, the sex you enjoy as a female will be of higher quality. The opposite is true for females transitioning to male. Becoming a [male to female] transsexual is a way better option than being involuntarily celibate as a male."

"I'm having more sex [as a woman] than any alpha male ever".
The document also argues that transitioning to become a woman makes dating 'easier' as there are more people who could be romantically interested in them.

This transwoman had GCS with Dr. Ginger Slack. The next day she posted on social media "going through hours of painful surgeries just so I can fool straight people into thinking I'm a REAL woman - Hahah!"
Transmaxxing arguably dates back to 1970's. Thomas Kando identified in his 1973 paper SEX CHANGE: The Achievement Of Gender Identity Among Feminized Transsexuals that the three most important factors to transsexuals were "marriage, nonemployment, and passing.”  This self evidently involves a man financially subsidising the lifestyle of his passable wife. The hugely influential book The Transsexual Empire: The Making of the She-Male by Janice Raymond concluded that "that money was a basic factor" in the performance of SRS for both the surgeon and the patient.

The internet and social media sites feature many young and attractive looking transwomen post-GCS who proudly proclaim after a date (and presumably sexual intercourse) with a man that "he never knew that I was trans". Sharing before-and-after photos of their transition, they claimed:  'Now the very same alpha males that bullied me bend on their knees just to have a chance of kissing my feet, my [direct messages] are full of thirsty men begging for my attention, and I'm having more sex than any alpha male ever.'

Shemale prostitutes and companions have been commonplace for decades.  Many of these men take female hormones and have feminising surgery such as breast implants to make money from male sugar daddies. If they don't meet and marry a rich man, most revert to a male gender in their 30's, reversing surgery such as breast implants   But advocates of transsmaxxing believe that even without a rich sugar daddy, they can actually make far more money and gain other beneifts such as lots of sex from transitioning to a post-SRS/GCS woman. Sammy

In 2024 a British television station - Channel 4 -  aired the Life Uncovered series.  In one episode (titled Transmaxxer Life Uncovered) the presenter, Ben Z meets with Sammy, a transmaxxer in her early twenties.  Looking at an old photo of herself as a young man, Sammy says: "It wasn't a great time in my life".  She explains that being a man was "too much hard work, so I became a woman".

During the documentary, Ben and Sammy read through the ‘transmaxxing manifesto’ and describe the benefits of transitioning from male to female. Some of these ‘benefits’ include the ‘superiority of female aesthetics’ and the bathrooms being ‘cleaner and generally more pleasant’. As Ben reads out how the subculture can access ‘cheaper car insurance’, Sammy explains: “You should take every advantage given to you. ...I don't think that's a primary reason to transition but it's definitely a secondary reason."  She added: "I don’t want to spend 70 hours a week working or get a personal trainer to become a 'true man'”.  After previously always been unlucky in love as man, Sammy now has a steady boyfriend and in the documentary joked whilst dishing out a takeaway that she still had a "'lot to learn if she was going to become a traditional stay-at-home wife . '[Transmaxxing] definitely isn't for everyone".   Sammy's boyfriend responded by saying "But if it makes you happier, then I don't see why some people wouldn't do it."

Other transmaxxers highlight the night-life perks of a passable female appearance - free entry into nightclubs, never having to pay for a drink, expensive restaurant meals covered by the man, offers of lifts (avoiding expensive taxi's), sex on demand.  And if you bag a 'high value' man that means expensive gifts, luxury holidays, and a generally easier life - even if they are married.

By its very nature, transmaxxing reinforces traditional gender roles, where men are the primary earners and women, who have 'easier' lives and less responsibilities, support them.  One section of the manifesto reads: "Not everyone can be successful and independent, some individuals need to just be subservient to a master, they exist to be used and give pleasure to other people. ... This will be the end station for some individuals that transitioned from male to female. Better than homelessness, I suppose."

TinaTina

Another example is the German transmaxxer Tina (right), who revealed that she was a transmaxxer in a June 2023 podcast.  Now age 25, Tina decided to transition in 2021 - just two days after discovering the transmaxxing community online.  Having studied engineering at school and college, Tina didn't have much experience with women- but took an interest in a fellow university student he met through a book club, she recalled: "I tried my best to get together with this girl, which horribly failed.".

Tina began worrying that her chances of finding love were slim and fell in with men's rights activists - before later discovering incels online because he was 'looking for a solution for his social issues'.  "[But I told them] the problem isn't that women aren't attracted to you, the problem is you're attracted to women".

Following this, Tina tried a series of medications to try and suppress their desire - and discovered transmaxxing.  She said: 'I just wanted to see what my life would be like if I had a different gender [...]

Following their break-up, Tina was inspired to research how much success women have in dating versus men - adding: "we can observe across the board that women, by literally every metric, are somewhat more successful in terms of dating as sexual things than men".   Tina believes that for her at least, it is it better to be a woman than a 'low value' man, "I love that I am more expressive and in tune with my emotions, I make deeper connections with friends and a much easier time talking to women!"

Sascha Bailey

David Bailey's son Sascha - who briefly contemplated transitioning to a woman - has also written about his experience with the 'Maxxing' community while exploring his own gender identity. However, he never personally participated in transmaxxing.

Sascha Bailey and girlfriend Lucy Brown, who pulled him back from transmaxxing and intended surgery.

Growing up in the 1990s, he was a slightly effeminate boy who sometimes dreamed of becoming a girl but never voiced such yearnings. “Acceptance sounds like a positive thing, but I think I was saved by the stigma around trans at that time. It meant I didn’t talk about those feelings too much. If I had, I would have been sent down the medical route,” he says.  This notion of transgenderism as a 'solution' was reinforced in internet chatrooms he frequented. "The first community I met with was Transmaxxing. The idea on the surface [is], at least for 'low value' males, it would be better to just transition and become a girl.",

Yet the biggest incentive came when Bailey started to post AI-generated photos of himself transformed into a statuesque blonde, “a stereotypical, plastic LA person” on his Instagram account. “Suddenly I was getting so much affirmation from people, an increased amount of ‘likes’. I thought, ‘OK, people are positive about the idea.’"  The idea that people might undergo life-altering surgery simply to attract more social media followers seems ludicrous, but Bailey believes that it’s true. “Girls get more attention on social media than men, and when men transition suddenly, they’re getting the attention a girl would get.  That’s addictive.”  He became convinced that undergoing irreversible surgery to become a woman would allow him a fresh start.  However, just before taking this drastic step, he met his girlfriend Lucy Brown, and they are now having a child together.

Despite pulling back from the transmaxxing community, Sascha continues to research the subject, he’s interviewed “transmaxxers”, men who decide to transition to benefit from the perceived perks of being a woman, which can be as petty as reduced car insurance. “I spoke to one who wanted to get into the STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) programme at school but wasn’t allowed in because they wanted to boost female numbers. So six months later, they came back and went, I’m trans now, and they let them in. It’s not the only reason they want to transition, but all of these small incentives add up.”

He sees the same issue with trans athletes competing and – because of innate masculine strength – often winning in women’s sports. “I’m not even sure if these people are acting maliciously, but they think I can’t be the world champion male weightlifter, so maybe I’ll be the world champion female weightlifter, and society is telling me it’s OK."
